Vision-based pick and place for testing and separating stamped parts

Gripping unsorted stamped parts in the correct position and at the same time checking for type and dimensional accuracy poses challenges for many manufacturing processes. The article shows how a smart camera with backlighting under the conveyor belt precisely detects and evaluates different components and transfers them to a pick-and-place robot in a precise position – for process-reliable separation of IO parts.
