The innovative family

“the innovative family” describes what wenglor is all about: an internationally active technology company with the values of a family business. Since it was founded in 1983 by Dieter Baur, wenglor has developed from a small development workshop on Lake Constance into a global supplier of sensor and image processing technologies. Today, the company is managed by Fabian and Rafael Baur in the second generation. Under their leadership, wenglor has continued to grow – with locations in Europe, Asia and America – while remaining true to its family roots.

Familiar way of working

The focus is on the people who shape wenglor. They come from different fields, think in an interdisciplinary way and are passionate about developing technological solutions for industrial automation. Cooperation is based on trust, openness and mutual support, regardless of function or hierarchy. At wenglor, the “Du” is a living expression of this culture and stands for closeness, respect and uncomplicated communication at eye level. This informal way of working is also reflected in the company management. Decisions are shared, new ideas are taken seriously and personal initiative is encouraged. Employees play an active role in shaping processes, take on responsibility and contribute their individual strengths.
